Access and Participation in Higher Education
It was with great pleasure this week that we launched our case study publication, Access and Participation in Higher Education: Outreach – Access – Support, at the biennial EPHEA conference held at the University of Western Australia.
Our publication showcases the wonderful work currently being done in Australia by the country’s 37 public universities, a result of the Australian Government’s Higher Education Participation Partnership Program (HEPPP) funding. Each case study details the program’s objectives, the manner in which it has been funded, measurement metrics, and plans for the future.
NCSEHE Director, Professor Sue Trinidad, said “Australian universities have long demonstrated a strong commitment to student equity and to increasing the participation of people from equity backgrounds. Through HEPPP funding, Australian universities have been able to provide opportunities to students from under-represented backgrounds who have the ability to study at university, to actually do so.”
